5000 animals from over 350 species.
Nestled on the shores of the world’s most beautiful harbour, Taronga Zoo is situated on the north shore of
Sydney Harbour and surrounded by bushland and national park. Taronga Zoo is only 12 minutes from Sydney's
Circular Quay by ferry.

Free-flight Birds Presentation Don’t miss Taronga’s famous Free-flight Birds Presentation overlooking
magnificent Sydney Harbour. The presentation features some of our most amazing Australian and exotic
birds. See the presentation twice daily at 12:00pm and 3:00pm.
Seals For the Wild – Powered by Red Energy A highlight of our Great Southern Oceans mega exhibit, is
the not to be missed Seals For the Wild Presentation. You will see the amazing intelligence and agility of
our marine mammals and learn about their beautiful wild habitats. See the presentation twice daily at
11:00am and 2:00pm.
Keeper Talks Learn about the fascinating animals that call Taronga home from our expert keepers
with our daily keeper talks. There Is over 20 keeper talks daily that must not be missed.
NEW Nura Diya Australia Precinct Immerse yourself In Taronga's newest Australian experience and
connect with the unique habitats and the Iconic species that call them home. Nura Diya Is home to our
Dingoes, Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus and the Greater Bilby.

Animal Encounters –Want an up-close animal encounter opportunity? Book one of our Animal
Encounters for a thrilling experience on your next visit. Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the Top
Zoo Shop or online the morning of your visit.
Dining and Shopping Shop our range of sustainable gifts, plush toys, books and clothing at our retail
shops.
- Forage and Graze: café style favourites, open from 9am.
- Taronga Food Market: serving a selection of diverse and contemporary hot and cold food options
- Picnic Areas: there are plenty of lawn and picnic table spots to enjoy a meal with a view
Additional Facilities - Maps, free Wi-Fi, ATMs, a parent’s room, public bathrooms, first aid, stroller hire and
wheelchair hire as well as free water bubblers.
Arriving at the Zoo
- Arriving by ferry/water transfer - on arrival at the wharf guests can walk 3 minutes to the lower zoo
entrance or catch the public bus, 238 to the zoos main entrance.
- Arriving by public bus/car - There is a multi-story carpark outside the zoo main entrance as well as a
public bus stop and taxi stand.
